Stephen’s first passion is art, and he began his career as a graphic designer after a stint playing bass in a punk band, eventually becoming a vice president in the experiential design and advertising industry and then CMO of a international development agency. His experiences have taught him the value of storytelling and audience participation through visual and face-to-face engagement, both for corporations and nonprofit causes. In 2014 he moved to his family’s 200-acre heritage farm in Cambridge, Iowa, where he spends his days drawing, creating stories and advocating for creative thinking while tending crops and caring for livestock. Stephen has a wife, three daughters, and a dog named Rooster.
